My name is Anne, and I am a first year student at NYU. Growing up, my world was defined by the relentless struggle of my family to make ends meet. My parents worked tirelessly at a small farm, but their hard work still wasn't enough to secure our future. Yet, despite our financial situation, they never let go of one core belief: that education was the single greatest asset they could give their children. They instilled in me the idea that learning was a powerful, transformative tool.
